Stefan Bredohl, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong SAR

Germany is a modern and diverse country, due in large parts to its character as a country of migration. Its openness to the world and acceptance of a wide variety of lifestyles are reflected in all areas of society. To explore this in more detail, this presentation sheds light on two specific examples that allow listeners to understand Germany’s diverse culture and population. For one, volunteerism and the related association culture play an important role for social cohesion. For another, Germany’s diverse university landscape contributes to the country's openness. The audience will also learn how they can get involved if they plan to come to Germany. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.
