About the Conference
This 2-day conference is organized by Wong Heung Wah, founder of the Global Creative Industries Program at The University of Hong Kong. Its primary mission is to provide a platform for scholars of family business from around the world to meet and exchange their research in the hopes of advancing the field. The conference encourages challenges to current dominant theoretical paradigms and promotes interdisciplinary approaches to the study of family firms.The first day of the conference will be the academic paper presentation. Each contributor is allotted 20 minutes to present their paper, followed by 40 minutes of discussion. An edited volume will be published based on the papers presented, subject to their quality. Details of the publication plan will be announced in due course.The second day of the conference will center on the practical aspects of family business operations. Engaging in roundtable discussions will foster productive interactions between industry professionals and academics. Esteemed representatives from family businesses, along with consultants and executives from family business offices, are cordially invited to contribute their invaluable insights and experiences pertaining to the intricacies of family business operations.
