Special Prerequisite Arrangement for KORE4009 (2026–27)

Dear Korean Studies major and minor students,
Please note that a special arrangement has been made for KORE4009 in the 2026–27 academic year.
Students who wish to enroll in KORE4009 in Semester 2 of 2026–27 but have not completed any of the regular prerequisite courses in previous semesters may take KORE2048 Contemporary Korean Culture: The 21st Century in Semester 1 to fulfill the prerequisite requirement. This is an additional arrangement to the prerequisite course KORE2033 offered in Semester 2.
Please note that KORE2048 is not listed as an official prerequisite in the course syllabus. As a result, students who complete or are taking KORE2048 will not be able to enroll in KORE4009 through SIS directly.
Students intending to take KORE4009 in Semester 2, 2026–27 under this special arrangement should:
Obtain approval to enroll in KORE2048; and
Contact the School Office for further instructions regarding enrollment in KORE4009.
