Executive Officer in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 515329) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ administrative work experience. Experience in tertiary institutions would be an advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organizational, communications and problem-solving skills, and an appropriate level of IT skills. They should have the capacity and be willing to create and/or adopt new solutions outside of the established practice, and be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility while being able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. They should also be able to work independently and under pressure.

The appointee will provide administrative support to a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, programme administration (such as the planning and execution of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, related student matters, and course evaluation), preparation and compilation of reports, secretarial support to committees, office management, supervision of junior staff and perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge in finance and HR will be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
