Description

This course is designed for heritage students who are familiar with Arabic reading and writing system when they grow up, but they cannot speak or understand the language to develop proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic. The course is focused on the productive skills (speaking and writing), while simultaneously exposing students to grammar and vocabulary. While developing their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, students will also be learning about Arab history, society, and culture. Classroom activities will be conducted in order to facilitate interaction among participants. This course is a pre-requisite for heritage students wishing to pursue a minor in Arabic.


* Students enroll to this course should have basic knowledge of reading and writing Arabic.
