Elective Courses


The course is designed to familiarize students with the culture of Russia. The topics will include different aspects of culture (musical tradition, national holidays, fine arts, theatre, and cinema. Significant events in the life of the nation and their impact on the culture and worldview of people will also be considered.  Students will have the opportunity to learn about Russian society and comprehend the mysterious Russian spirit. To provide necessary references in support of the discussions, the course will bring in background information on various aspects of Russia; its government, and its political, social, and demographic environment. The teaching material and resources used for this course will be in English, and the main medium of instruction will be English.
