The Global and Area Studies major offers a flexible and interdisciplinary structure designed to develop global awareness, regional expertise, and strong language skills.
Two academic pathways:

Cultures & Societies Stream: Focus on regional studies with intermediate language proficiency.

Language Intensive Stream: Deep language immersion paired with regional and global themes.
Program Requirements:

Prerequisites: 1 regional + 2 language courses (18 credits)

Core: Methods, advanced language & experiential learning (30 credits)

Capstone: Research, internship or directed study (6 credits)

Electives: Tailored to chosen stream (18–24 credits)
